Radio Is Hot Property - Real Estate

While the price of buying a property in Australia is at an all time high, it remains a goal for many Australians.

Nielsen and Commercial Radio Australia have released a Consumer Insights Report aimed at providing advertisers with further insight into consumer trends, uncovering opportunities for brands to engage with their target audience in the property category.

Key National Insight include:

  • In the next 12 months, over 1.7 million Australians intend to buy a property and 79% of this group listen to commercial radio each week.
  • In the next 12 months, 1.5 million Australians intend to buy a home to live in – almost half (47%) of these are first home buyers.
  • Property investors account for 446,000 Australians; while over 200,000 intend to buy both a residential and investment property.
  • The total pool of home buyer intenders in Australia in the next 12 months is 1,776,000.
  • On a weekly basis, radio advertisers can connect with close to 80% of these potential buyers.
