Banking on Radio - Personal Finance

Nielsen and Commercial Radio Australia have released the latest Consumer Insight report aimed at providing advertisers with further insight into the financial habits of four distinct groups of Australians, and what role radio plays in their financial decisions.

Key National Insights include:

  • 69% of Australian radio listeners say they are very or quite satisfied with their main financial institution; while 6% say they are not very or not at all satisfied.
  • 11% of commercial radio listeners say they are very or quite likely to change their main financial institution in the next 6 months.
  • One-in-five (22%) commercial radio listeners list their investment/ savings priority for the next 2-3 years as ‘saving for a car or holiday’; while 18% are ‘paying off their home’; and 18% also ‘saving for retirement’.
